Is the weather too unpredictable to work out outdoors? Don't have the time or money for a gym membership? Don't worry; your home has plenty of options for keeping fit indoors. Need some enthusiastic encouragement? Rent or buy an exercise video to give yourself the added motivation you need to stay focused. Dance workout, Pilates, martial arts, and aerobics videos are four surefire ways to get your heart rate up and your cholesterol down. Try jumping rope for a challenging, full-body workout. Or walk or jog in place while you enjoy your favorite sitcom. Just be sure to get your muscles moving, and your heart rate up.

It's time to get on the ball—the stability ball, that is. Inflatable stability balls are especially good for strengthening the back and abdominal muscles. There are plenty of ways to get creative, too. You can work them into push-up workouts and Pilates exercises.
